The Champion Female, Castell Dolly 83rd, an in-calf 2 ½ year old, was sold for 1,650gns. The in-calf heifer was sired by Penrhyn-Newydd Glyndwr and out of Castell Dolly 68th and was running with Castell Deiniol 24th. The prize winning female was bred and sold by Messrs Gareth and Jane Davies, Maes-y-Castell, Taliaris, Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire and was bought by Mr Rhodri Jones, Brynllech Uchaf, Llanuchllwyn near Bala. The Reserve Champion Female, Castell Seren 293rd, was also sold by the Davies family for 1,520gns. The in-calf heifer was sired by Castell Deiniol 24th and out of Castell Seren 255th and had been running with Brysgaga Gwern. Purchasing the heifer was new members, Messrs Richards from Builth Wells.The Richards, making their debut at the sale also bought the 3rd prize winner to the Champion and Reserve Champion, namely Castell Seren 297th which sold for 1,500gns. The heifer was sired by Castell Deiniol 24th and out of Castell Seren 246th and had been running with Brysgaga Gwern.
Top quality Heifers from the same lines available for sale from the farm - top Breeding lines both in calf and maiden, also some excellent cows and calves.
Demand for these genuine cattle remains strong.
