Llandovery sale heifers 2010
April 9th 2010
Today the choice of heifers to go to the Llandovery Pedigree Welsh Black Sale next month was finalised, its always very difficult to decide which ones, but some have to go.
This year we have chosen six heifers to leave the herd -
* Castell Seren 265th born 04/06/2007 she is in calf to Peirian Max (AI)
* Castell Seren 267th born 07/06/2007 she is in calf to our own bull Castell Deiniol 24th
* Castell Fanny 167th born 11/09/2007 she is in calf to Peirian Max (AI)
* Castell Fanny 171st born 02/03/2008 she is in calf to Neuadd Penda
* Castell Seren 275th born 17/03/2008 she is in calf to Castell Deiniol 24th
* Castell Meg 239th born 03/10/08 Not served sold as a maiden heifer.
These heifers are from our previous stock bull Penrhyn Newydd Glyndwr
All heifers that are sold in - calf will be pregnancy tested before date of sale.
All heifers are Certified clear of Johnes and B V D the herd has been accredited since Jan 2005
The Castell herd is a closed herd only purchasing the occasional stock bull from accredited herds.
Visitors are welcome at any time, just give us a call to make sure we are home!
